Week XVI
This week we decided to have an arrangement without a filler, which turned out to be a good idea. In fact, the arrangement would not have looked as good as it did had we had a filler. It was the intensity of the blue of the delphiniums that attracted all the attention.
In an extraordinary change from Week X, the peonies lasted in great condition for the whole week! Which was very nice, especially because as the week progressed and the delphiniums were shedding their petals the peonies steadily became the centre of attention as they started blooming.
The weather has been quite nice. Still warm but not as oppressive as it had been a few weeks ago. Meaning, the office has been having a refreshing temperature. Which is probably the reason the peonies did not die quickly as they did the last time we had them.
We have been having beautiful summery arrangements for a few weeks now. The only thing that I have missed is the sweet scent of the flowers that we used to have. None of the flowers this week had a notable smell.
