Week XX

We went back to a more sober arrangement but with interesting new flowers. Making their debut in our office were the papaver and the celosia caracus. I must say both were a little strange, especially the papaver (also known as poppy seed heads). The celosia caracus showed signs of wilting by midweek in spite of retaining its vibrant colour. And the papaver was just, there. If one could rank plants and flowers by how much speed their sight seems to convey, the papaver would definitely be the slowest one. Totally still.
It should be said that the arrangement lasted in good condition for the whole week. Which is always nice. Phlox usually have a nice smell but since we had so little of it this week, its scent was unfortunately subdued. The arrangement, as a whole, was very  aesthetically pleasing, though.
