Week XXXII
Little by little we are getting more autumnal colours. This time we had a beautiful mix of roses in six different colours, and hydrangeas in what Lacoste would describe as vintage washed hues. The result was an arrangement that was elegant in apperance and wild in spirit.
Let me emphasise that I absolutely adored the roses. They were immensely beautiful. It is extremely interesting to me, though, that before coming to the United Kingdom I never thought of roses as being English. Now I think of them as nothing else but English. Which makes them have a very special place in my heart. You might see the picture and ask: what about the bright orange Colombian roses? Still English. Though we could quote a Colombian artist (Shakira) whose words perfectly describe my feelings towards English roses: Suerte que es haberte conocido y por ti amar tierras extrañas.
