Week XL

Sometimes you look at the sky and you can see it painted in variegated colours. Sometimes you can also see the clouds in different colours and it is only then that you truly understand what a pastel colour is. Among the most hypnotising colours the sky can have are orange, pink, and purple. Like the purple of the hydrangeas and the lisianthus of our arrangement this week. Since September we have had plenty of arrangements that feature hydrangeas, and as a result I have seen them in many more hues than what I had previously known they could be.
Among the most beautiful emotions a human can feel is gratitude. Like the gratitude I feel for all the gorgeous arrangements we have had and the things we have learnt about flowers and their beauty. When you look at the hydrangeas in the vase, do you feel the softness of their leaves? When you touch the purple they reflect, do you taste the sweetness of the amacha?

  1. What a great post! I'd never have noticed the sunset colours and the mood they suggest, without your artistic insight.
