You rarely have time for everything you want in this life, so you need to make choices. And hopefully your choices can come from a deep sense of who you are.

It has now been seven years that I have been having sessions with my psychoanalyst. There is a small square shallow wooden box with rocks decorating the waiting room adjacent to her office. One of the rocks has the words "Know thyself," inscribed on it.

Why do I decorate the office with fresh flowers every week?

Look at the pink tulips. They are so bright in the picture that it is as if they were illuminating the room with light of their own. Would I have ever imagined that such beauty existed had I not decided to start this blog?

Would I have learnt that the scent of a hyacynth is so beautiful that it would make me smile even when I am just looking at a picture of it?

Would I have a different understanding of the line "anemones of light"?
